"Dark matters"
Nature allures each time i see it, the wilder the better. It absorbs and invites me to become part of it, to fall into flowers and merge with the trees. I try to physically unite my body with it, using all my body movement skills, but the result is awkward and comic rather than real and apparent. I fail to reconnect. This series invites viewers to experience and observe my failed attempts. There is no return to the sacred garden, we are forever strangers there, forever guests. I collage the self-portraits with urban landscapes i took in different cities to further strengthen the idea of the impossibility to reunite. We can only bring the natural and the urban together formally, through putting images side by side. Through painting our city walls green. I came from the city, went into the wilderness and returned back. The images i shot there i now project on urban walls in Moscow to round off the project.
